The Show Nassau Hasn't Seen — Until Now

The Story

My fellow Bahamian magician, Eddie and I have spent decades performing for resort and corporate audiences across the Caribbean. Atlantis, Sandals, RIU, you name it.

But here at home, most people only know us from the kids entertainment circuit. There's a whole other side to what we do. And until now, there hasn't been a stage for it here.

Magic Underground changes that.

The name goes back years, to a basement bar called Bistro Underground where we ran a weekly show. No tickets, no sponsors, just a room full of people and the freedom to perform the kind of magic and mentalism we'd only ever done for tourists.

It was real. It was ours. Then it stopped.

People kept asking when we were bringing it back.

This is that answer. Same name. Same spirit. A small room, a local crowd, and the side of our work most people here have never seen.

WHAT TO EXPECT.

Small Room. Big Night.

Two Performers. Two Styles. One Night.

One half is mentalism. Mind reading, psychological illusion, and moments that make you question what's possible. The other half is magic. Sleight of hand, visual impossibilities, and the kind of skill that makes you wonder what you just missed. Two completely different experiences on one stage.

A Show That Never Stops Evolving

This isn't a canned routine. Magic Underground is a show that evolves. Material gets sharpened, moments shift, and the energy in the room shapes the night. If you've been before, the next one won't feel the same. That's by design.

A Night Out, Not a Kid's Party

This is an adults' night out at a local venue with entertainment and good energy. Come with friends and experience something Nassau doesn't have enough of. Live, original entertainment made right here, for us.

April 15th. 8:00 PM. Yall Space.

FOR THE CURIOUS

The Full Story

It’s story time….

I know, I know, aint nobody gonna read all this, so if you’re just here to buy tickets, click here and get em while they’re available.

But if you’re still with me (and I’m assuming you are if you’re still reading this) and you want to know more about the performance and what you’re getting into, read on.

Years ago, Eddie and I had a dream. We wanted to perform a show for a local audience. We both worked (and continue to work) in the resort and corporate markets. But while there’s always been this platform for entertainment to tourists, there’s never been one for locals. Of course there’s the kids entertainment market, and while that’s where most locals know of us from, we’d never had a venue to showcase the shows and acts that we worked so diligently on for the resorts to our fellow Bahamians.

7 years ago, all of that changed. Eddie and I created a show we called “Magic Underground” where we performed weekly down town at Bistro Underground.

Now, we called it a show, but it was actually an experiment. Art can sometimes be described as creating something for yourself first and then sharing it with the world. And that’s what we did. There were no ticket sales, no sponsors, we just put out a tip jar at the end and hoped we made enough to cover gas money and Imperials on the way home.

Our goal wasn’t to make money, it was to make magic, to make art. But Our kind of magic. Our kind of art. Not something that was influenced by the resorts. Magic for Bahamian audiences. Something real.

And for a while, it was beautiful. It wasn’t fancy, but it had soul, a little underground magic of its own. But then of course, life got in the way. Real jobs, real bills and a pandemic that stole live entertainment over a year.

And while that could’ve been the end of it, something amazing kept happening. We kept getting asked if we were gonna bring the show back. It was apparent that we’d struck on something that people wanted.

The problem was, we didn’t have an answer. Because we didn’t want to do just another show. We wanted to bring back that feeling. That sense of “we’re all in this little secret room together experiencing something that may never happen again.”

And then one night, Eddie messages me out of nowhere.

“Bey, I just when to this local comedy club. You have to see this place”

The place in question was YALL Space. A unique performing venue located in the heart of Nassau and run by people who actually care about entertainment. I remember thinking to myself, “This is where magic belongs again.”

And I was right. Magic Underground is back baby. We perform it on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at YALL Space (we’ve already done enough shows to get our photos on the wall). It’s a Magic show for Bahamian audiences performed by Bahamians. It’s also an intimate setting with only 48 seats (so buy your tickets soon). I perform my unique brand of Mentalism while Eddie astounds with his unique brand of magic and honestly….we cannot wait to see you!
